Few young gunners in the game are spittin like Brooklyn’s Joey Bada$$. Recently, he came through Peter Rosenberg’s show on Hot 97, flanked by Pro Era crew members CJ Fly & Kirk Knight, and kicked a freestyle for the people.
The cypher was laid back and despite their age, the group came with a little bit of heat. CJ Fly was very dope and Kirk Knight struggled at times, but he did get hosed repeatedly (watch and you’ll understand).
As a group, they almost resemble a New York version of Top Dawg Entertainment. With Joey carrying the flag for the Beast Coast and Kendrick holding down the Fresh Coast, lyricism should continue to thrive in 2013.
