The latest and long awaited Weezy and DJ Drama collaboration, Dedication 4, dropped on Labor Day (and left livemixtapes.com and datpiff.com laying in its wake). A complete synopsis of the mixtape will be revealed at a later date, but this song was a favorite, mainly because of J. Cole. It was decent from a lyrical standpoint, but I really enjoyed Cole’s flow on his verse, particularly the way he ended it.
Drama bringing back “Special Delivery” was also a nice touch (I always enjoyed the remix, despite Craig Mack authoring one of the worst verses in the history of all mankind). It was a cool change of pace, as just about every other track featured Wayne going in on current songs.
