So you say you like songs with some soul in it? Well, you won’t find too many rap songs with more soul than this Wu record off the supergroup’s 2000 album The W. This Tony Starks/Bobby Digital collaboration features a soul sample from Issac Hayes’ 1969 song “Walk On By” (which itself was a cover of the 1964 Dionne Warwick hit) that could bring a tear to your eye. And if that didn’t do the trick, the heavy harmony from the late Mr. Hayes, the lyrical content and the intense visuals (this is a powerful video; peep MLK on the milk carton) centered around the struggle might do it.
